Job summary

Arise App is seeking an experienced Android developer to build the Android version from the ground up. You will own the codebase end-to-end and make architectural decisions that balance speed with long-term maintainability.

You will collaborate with the iOS developer and CEO to deliver a high-quality product used by millions, with a remote-first, full-time role and strong ownership. 4+ years of Android experience and Kotlin mastery are required.

• Experience building an app from scratch, not just contributions to an existing codebase.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Comfortable working fully in English.

We're bringing Arise to Android - and we're looking for the developer who will build it. You'll be creating the Android version from the ground up, making the architectural decisions that will define the app for years to come. You'll work alongside our iOS developer and CEO (who built the original app) to deliver a product that matches the quality our millions of users expect.

Requirements

• Middle 2+ Level Developer with proven track record.
• Minimum 4 years of Android development experience.
• Experience building an app from scratch - not just contributing to an existing codebase.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Comfortable working fully in English.
• Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin.
• Experience with Gradle and CI/CD tooling.
• Solid understanding of Material Design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
