Job summary

Intertek Italia is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst - Defender XDR Specialist to join its Global Cyber Security team in Warsaw. You will act as SME for Defender XDR technologies, support security operations and incident response, and mentor colleagues while driving adoption of Microsoft security solutions across the organization.

You will investigate incidents across endpoints, identities, email, servers and cloud, conduct proactive threat hunting with KQL, and develop detections, playbooks, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, or Threat Hunting.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR technologies and Entra ID.
• Strong knowledge of Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Proficiency in KQL query development and security event analysis.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Servers, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, and Security Copilot
• Investigate and respond to cyber security incidents across endpoint, identity, email, server, and cloud environments
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using Advanced Hunting and KQL
• Develop and optimize detections, playbooks, and operational procedures
• Support vulnerability management and remediation activities
• Provide technical guidance and training to Cyber Security Analysts
• Leverage Microsoft Security Copilot to enhance investigation and reporting efficiency
