Job summary

Dentons is seeking an Information Security Engineer focused on Microsoft cloud technologies to strengthen security across cloud and hybrid environments in Europe, including Azure and Microsoft 365. You will guide technical teams, embed security into architecture, and work with SOC/CSIRT on incident response.

The role requires strong Azure and M365 security experience, scripting skills, and a passion for security architecture within an international, enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud security or enterprise cybersecurity engineering.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Azure security, including at least two of Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, IaaS, application and API security, storage and database security.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft 365 security, including at least two of: Entra ID, Purview, Microsoft 365 Defender, Intune/Endpoint Manager.
• Strong understanding of security architecture principles (Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, least privilege).
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and system integrations.
• Experience with vulnerability management, including coordinating remediation of results.
• Experience with API security and modern integration technologies.
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python or Bash).
• Strong interest in security architecture and growing toward architectural responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust security and compliance controls across Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Serve as a cybersecurity subject-matter expert for Europe and country IT teams, providing practical security guidance.
• Embed security into application, infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and integration architectures with secure development lifecycle practices.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, project teams, and stakeholders to define security requirements from the outset.
• Support incident response activities with SOC and CSIRT, including investigation and remediation.
• Lead end-to-end vulnerability management, including scanning, assessments, and remediation coordination.
• Identify and mitigate security risks across cloud and enterprise environments to improve security posture.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical leadership for complex security issues.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, standards, reports, and control frameworks.
