Job summary

Prairie Band Health Services is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist for inpatient and outpatient services at the Hopi Health Care Center. This full-time position requires an associate’s degree in medical technology and a valid ASCP certification. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests and assisting with phlebotomy. Candidates must have at least 2-3 years of experience in a hospital medical laboratory and hold active BLS certification. Local and travel candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid ASCP certification, or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years’ experience as a MLT or CLS in a hospital medical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Provide services in an inpatient and outpatient clinical laboratory.
• Perform diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology.
• Occasionally assist with phlebotomy.

Overview

Impatient/Outpatient Medical Lab Tech (MLT/CLS) – Hopi Health Care Center, Polacca, AZ. We seek Medical Lab Technologists or Clinical Laboratory Scientists to serve the Indian Health Services population.

Responsibilities

MLT’s or CLS will provide services in an inpatient and outpatient clinical laboratory setting by performing diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology, and occasionally assisting with phlebotomy.

Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. This position is designated as a TIER 2 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B).

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate’s degree in medical technology; Bachelor’s in a related field preferred
• Valid ASCP certification, or equivalent required
• 2‑3 years’ experience as a MLT or CLS in a hospital medical laboratory
• Experience providing care to patients within a rural area
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Willingness to pass Federal Security Clearance
• Immunization records required
