Job summary

Aptiv Polska in Kraków offers a paid internship for a student to assist the mechanical simulation team with FEM-based analyses and CAD-based geometry preparation. You will generate reports and present results to the product engineering group.

The role provides hands-on experience, flexible hours, and onboarding within a global, internationally recognized environment, fostering learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student with 20+ hours per week availability.
• Solid understanding of mechanical properties and materials behavior.
• Familiar with CAD tools and FEA software.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical simulation team in FEM numerical analyses.
• Prepare 3D geometry models for simulation using CAD software.
• Create reports and discuss results with product engineering.
• Contribute to development of simulation methodologies.

Job description

Your role:

• Support the mechanical simulation team in performing numerical analyses using the Finite Element Method (FEM).
• Prepare 3D geometry models for simulation using CAD software.
• Create reports and discuss results with the product engineering team.
• Actively participate in the development of mechanical simulation methodologies.

Your background:

• Solid understanding of the mechanical properties of materials.
• Knowledge of computational methods for static and dynamic behavior analysis.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Experience with FEA packages (e.g., Simulia Abaqus, Ansys Mechanical)
• Student status
• Availability (minimum 20 h per week)
