Job summary

Nord Gas Solutions in Poland seeks a Mechanical Engineer PRE (Package Responsible Engineer) to join our project teams focused on LNG/LPG carriers, onshore and offshore installations. You will help develop system designs, prepare engineering documentation, and specify equipment for supplier bids.

You will work in a multinational environment, review vendor documentation, participate in design reviews such as Hazop, and provide technical support during commissioning and FATs.

Qualifications

• Experience in maritime/oil & gas and/or process industries.
• Knowledge of rotating/static mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with Classification Society rules (DNV, BV, LRS, ABS).
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Ability to work in a multinational team.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project execution and studies for gas plants on LNG and LPG carriers, onshore and offshore.
• Develop system design and prepare engineering documentation.
• Specify equipment, evaluate bids, review vendor docs, and follow up with suppliers.
• Ensure information flows between engineering disciplines.
• Clarify technical points with customers, suppliers and 3rd parties (e.g. Class Society).
• Participate in design reviews such as Hazop and 3D model reviews.
• Provide technical support during commissioning and start-up; participate in FATs at supplier facilities.
