Job summary

NES Fircroft Poland seeks an experienced chemical/process engineer to advance design and sizing of equipment for gas plants on LNG/LPG carriers, offshore FPSO and onshore facilities. You will run process simulations (Hysys), prepare control and operating philosophies, and markup PFDs and P&IDs while collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams.

The role requires a BSc/MSc in chemical engineering, at least three years in maritime or process industries, strong Excel skills, and good knowledge of

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc preferred in chemical and process engineering or equivalent.
• Experience from maritime, Oil & Gas and/or process industry engineering.
• Process modelling experience (preferable Hysys).
• Understanding of thermodynamics, such as heat transfer in cryogenic processes.
• Experienced in using Excel.
• Familiarity with Classification Societies rules for marine industry (DNVGL, BV, LRS).
• Willingness to travel if needed, random business trips.
• Ability to work in a multinational team.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Process simulations (Hysys) and dimensioning of equipment for gas plants on LNG/LPG carriers, offshore (FPSO) and onshore plants, biogas systems.
• Preparation of control philosophy, operating philosophy.
• Preparation/mark-up of PFDs and P&IDs.
• Development and improvement of new and existing products.
• Participate in project execution and business development.
• Ensure relevant technical information flows through other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews e.g. Hazop sessions.
