Job summary

MECHANICAL ENGINEER in Gdańsk, Poland, joins a global elevator manufacturer via our partner with Scandinavian capital. The role combines stationary work with one remote day per week and offers a path in a seasoned, international team.

You will contribute to design projects, collaborate with R&D, manage production methods, and deliver robust drawings and documentation while growing your expertise in safety-critical systems.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
• Knowledge of mechanical design across CAD tools.
• Willing to travel nationally and internationally.
• Experience with manufacturing methods and safety-critical design is a plus.
• Hands-on product development and testing experience.
• Experience in workshops/testing lifts is useful.

Responsibilities

• You will mainly work in project form and be part of a team of about 20+ colleagues.
• Design work carried out according to schedule and budget with opportunity to broaden technical areas.
• Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Contribute to technical investigations and deliver data for decisions.
• Choose production methods and materials based on design.
• Perform root cause analysis, testing, and design changes.
• Develop routines and processes for mechanical construction and engineering to ensure high-quality drawings.
• Contribute to safe workplace and ongoing development projects.
