Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to conceptualize, design, prototype, and analyze mechanical concepts while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will work with electrical, software, designers, and human factors engineers to adapt solutions for non-engineering colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent from an accredited engineering program.
• 1-3 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks.
• Background in manufacturing processes across prototype and production levels, including laboratory and machine shop work.
• Experience designing and executing proof-of-concept prototypes.
• Understanding of theoretical mechanical engineering principles.
• Energetic team player with a creative spirit and a knack for problem-solving.
• Curiosity to build knowledge in new technologies, industries, and business models quickly.
• Ability to learn and adapt with creativity, with enthusiasm for solving problems and leading innovation.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to relate well with people and build partnerships.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and analyze mechanical systems and components as part of the core project team.
• Develop and execute proof-of-concept prototypes to validate design concepts.
• Perform testing and analysis to support design decisions and product development.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, software engineers, designers, and human factors engineers throughout the development process.
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-engineering colleagues and clients.
• Document engineering work thoroughly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adapt and recommend mechanical solutions based on project and client needs.
• Contribute to laboratory and machine shop work to support prototyping and production efforts.
