Job summary

Hatch in Katowice, Poland is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Project Delivery Group. You will establish system requirements, perform analyses, and prepare calculations, data sheets and technical specifications for large and small projects.

You will develop 3D models and 2D drawings, mentor junior staff, and participate in design reviews while coordinating with other disciplines. Fluency in English and Polish is expected and a professional engineering registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Registration as a professional engineer or pursuing registration
• 2–8 years of project engineering experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Planning and organizational skills; ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and codes in mechanical engineering
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and coordinate activities

Responsibilities

• Define project scope with stakeholders
• Support delivery of project requirements relating to scope, cost, and schedule
• Perform system analyses and define design criteria
• Prepare engineering calculations, data sheets, and reports
• Develop or input 3D models and 2D drawings
• Contribute to technical memos and engineering status reports
• Assist in proposals, interfaces management, and design reviews
• Supervise junior engineers and contribute to training
