Job summary

Arjo in Komorniki (near Poznań) invites applications for a Mechanical Engineer. You will join Product Development & Engineering to drive design, testing, and documentation across the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with suppliers and customers, develop improvements, and ensure quality and compliance while supporting production continuity. Remote days are possible occasionally within a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken, min B2) and Polish.
• Experience with technical documentation and testing; 3D CAD modeling.

Responsibilities

• Secure production and product continuity by solving production challenges and performing obsolescence and life cycle updates.
• Develop, test, and document product designs using CAD tools and bench testing.
• Participate in research and creation of new products.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop improvements to the mechanical components and system of existing products for increased performance, quality, cost and value.
• Create, plan, execute and document tests to verify quality and compliance of the design.
• Perform technical analyses of change requests, trouble reports, CAPAs, and customer claims.
• Independently plan, organize, and execute assigned engineering activities from concept to implementation.
• Plan and organize work autonomously.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including customers and suppliers.

The Product Development & Engineering team is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial research and development through product launch and ongoing support (sustaining engineering).

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Secure production and product continuity by solving production challenges and performing obsolescence and life cycle updates,
• Develop, test, and document product designs using CAD tools and bench testing,
• Participate in research and creation of new products,
• Identify, evaluate, and develop improvements to the mechanical components and system of existing products for increased performance, quality, cost and value,
• Create, plan, execute and document tests to verify quality and compliance of the design,
• Perform technical analyses of change requests, trouble reports, CAPAs, and customer claims,

Skills and experience you will need in this role:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience,
• Good command of English, both written and spoken (minimum B2 level),
• Fluency in Polish,
• Experience working with technical documentation and testing,
• Ability to design and model in a 3D environment, preferably using SolidWorks and PDM,
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills,
• Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities,
• Good communication skills, proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team,
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn and continuously develop.

Nice to have:

• Experience in a similar role,
• Knowledge of textiles.
