Corning's Optical Communications segment seeks engineers to design and adapt products in international teams, collaborating with engineers to bring designs into production. The role covers machinery design, prototyping, and the use of AR to enhance communication with clients and internal teams.

You will contribute to new product development, work with CAD tools like CREO, SolidWorks and Inventor, and apply FEM and GD&T knowledge. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Higher education in mechanics/mechatronics or related field.
• Experience designing products in international groups.
• Knowledge of CAD tools (CREO, SolidWorks, Inventor) and GD&T.
• Understanding of mechanics, strength of materials and FEM.
• Knowledge of sheet metal forming and plastic injection processes.
• Analytical skills and fluent English (spoken/written).
• 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Aufgaben

• Participate in design of new products and adapt existing products in international groups.
• Collaborate with development and product engineers to implement products into production.
• Design machinery and equipment to support the production process.
• Implement modern solutions (e.g., AR) to support design and communication.
• Develop prototypes and present ideas.
• Support other departments in project collaboration.
