SeaRenergy Group seeks an experienced Mechanical Construction & Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) for Offshore Substations. Start asap on a freelance/B2B basis with remote work and travel to Poland.

Responsibilities include translating engineering documentation into executable Work Orders and coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure safe offshore execution. Offshore experience and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Solid experience in mechanical construction or commissioning.
• Experience in offshore projects and substations.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of material take-offs and man-hour estimation.
• Familiarity with MCCRs and completion documentation.
• Strong English and digital documentation skills.
• Structured, detail-oriented approach and cross-discipline coordination.

Responsabilités

• Prepare mechanical Work Orders from Engineering Work Packages and punch lists.
• Define job scopes, steps and estimated man-hours.
• Prepare material take-offs and identify required tools and equipment.
• Determine lifting and access requirements and prerequisites.

We are currently seeking an experienced

Mechanical Construction & Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) Offshore Substation

Start date: asap | Duration: 12 months with possible extenions | Location / Assignment location: Remote & travel to Poland | Contract type: Freelance / B2B

You will support the technical work preparation for the hook-up and commissioning of offshore substations (OSS), with a focus on mechanical systems. Your main responsibility will be to translate engineering documentation and outstanding mechanical work into complete and executable Work Orders.

As part of your role, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Prepare mechanical Work Orders based on Engineering Work Packages, punch lists, technical queries and carry-over items.
• Define clear job scopes, execution steps and estimated discipline man-hours.
• Prepare material take-offs and identify the tools and equipment required for each activity.
• Determine lifting and access requirements and identify relevant execution prerequisites.
• Compile applicable documents, drawings, Mechanical Completion Check Records (MCCRs) and completion documentation.
• Identify missing information and interfaces with other disciplines, and coordinate clarifications with the Job-Setting Lead and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure Work Orders contain the information needed for safe and efficient offshore execution.

• A degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, plant engineering or a comparable discipline.
• Solid experience in mechanical construction or commissioning, combined with experience in work preparation, job setting or work-pack development.
• Experience in offshore projects, ideally involving offshore substations or comparable energy infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Practical understanding of material take-offs, man-hour estimation, lifting and access requirements.
• Familiarity with punch lists, mechanical completion records and completion documentation.
• Good command of English and confidence working with digital documentation and project systems.
• A structured, detail-oriented approach and the ability to coordinate effectively with other disciplines.

For any offshore deployment, the required safety training and offshore medical certification will be confirmed according to the assignment.
