Job description

Fixed-term Employment Contract (maternity cover, until the end of 2027 or longer) | Full-time | Hybrid | Kraków

We're looking for a Master Data Specialist for Amer Sports' office in Kraków.

Amer Sports is a global collective of iconic sports and outdoor brands, powered by a community of people who share a passion for authenticity, impact, and excellence. We bring together leading brands, talented teams, and a culture built on collaboration. If you're looking for an environment where you can make an impact and grow your career, we invite you to explore the opportunity below.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of how our global business operates — ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial and commercial master data that teams across Finance, Procurement, and Business Units rely on every day. You'll work with SAP and connected platforms, contribute to data governance initiatives, and help drive the continuous improvement of master data processes in a truly international environment. If you're passionate about data quality, operational excellence, and making systems work better for people, this is a fantastic opportunity to do meaningful work within a globally recognized company.

What you will be doing

Master Data Operations

  • Create, maintain, and retire customer, vendor, and financial master data (including cost centers, internal orders, and GL accounts) in SAP and related systems.
  • Process master data requests in line with defined SLAs, validating documentation, approvals, and business justification before any creation or change.

Controls, Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure all master data changes comply with internal controls, segregation of duties (SoD), and audit requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing evidence, explanations, and control documentation, and participate in control testing and remediation activities.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Monitor data quality, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions, including cleansing initiatives and duplicate prevention.
  • Enforce global data standards, naming conventions, and governance policies across all systems.

Systems & Integration Support

  • Support integrations between SAP, Ariba, and other platforms — investigating and resolving IDOC errors, synchronization failures, and system discrepancies.
  • Participate in testing and deployment of system enhancements and new tools.

Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Identify opportunities to optimize, standardize, and automate master data processes, and contribute to global transformation and harmonization initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted partner to Finance, Procurement, Tax, Compliance, and Business Units, providing guidance and support on master data topics.

You will report to the Finance Master Data Manager.

What you need to succeed

Experience & Technical Expertise

  • 2+ years of experience in finance, financial master data management, or a similar role.
  • Solid hands‑on experience with financial master data — particularly cost centers, internal orders, and GL accounts.
  • Strong experience with customer and vendor master data.
  • Proficiency in SAP; familiarity with additional ERP or financial systems is an advantage.

Skills & Personal Attributes

  • Strong analytical thinking and sharp attention to detail — you spot issues early and take action to resolve them.
  • A genuine understanding of data governance principles and data quality management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage SLAs, and operate confidently in a high-volume, high-accuracy environment.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Comfortable working in a global, matrixed environment with multiple business units and regions.
  • Ownership mentality — you take responsibility, follow through, and care about the quality of your work.
What we consider a plus
  • Experience with SAP MDG or S/4HANA.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow.
  • Previous involvement in global data standardization, harmonization initiatives, or data templates.
