Job summary

Axpo Polska is seeking a Market Risk Analyst to strengthen the Risk Center team. You will analyze portfolio performance and risk, prepare regular reporting, and contribute to the development of risk analytics in a dynamic energy business.

You will work with Front Office and Risk teams, maintain ETRM data, and ensure compliance with market risk rules through robust calculations and controls. Fluent English is required for collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of market risk experience, notably in reporting and analysis.
• Experience with data reporting tools; ETRM experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and team-oriented communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily analysis of P&L and risk KPIs, including reporting to stakeholders.
• Analyze Trading and Origination portfolios on their risk profile and discuss findings with Front Office, Management, and other Risk teams.
• Conduct in-depth analyses on topics requested by the Head of Market Risk Management, Management Board, Group Functions, or Audit.
• Maintain the data in the ETRM system (e.g. book openings).
• Contribute to the ongoing development of risk analytics and Reporting framework.
• Ensure compliance with market risk rules through implementation, calculation, and control.

You will analyze portfolio performance and risk, prepare regular reporting, and contribute to the continued development of risk analytics and business intelligence in a dynamic energy business.

What you will do:

• Perform daily analysis of P&L and risk KPIs, including clear reporting to stakeholders
• Analyze Trading and Origination portfolios on their risk profile and discuss findings with Front Office, Management, and other Risk teams
• Conduct in-depth analyses on selected topics requested by the Head of Market Risk Management, the Management Board, Group Functions, or Audit
• Maintain the data in the ETRM system (e.g. book openings)
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the company's risk analytics and Reporting framework
• Ensure compliance with all relevant market risk rules through implementation, calculation, and control

What you bring & who you are:

• 3-4 years of professional experience in market risk, particularly in reporting and analysis, or a related field, ideally within the energy or commodities sector with a sound understanding of financial risk and financial instruments
• Comfortable working with data and reporting tools; experience with ETRM systems is a plus
• Ideally, familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and risk analytics frameworks
• Knowledge of Python and/or R is an advantage
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured, detail-oriented way of working
• Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
