Job summary

Axpo Polska is seeking a Market Risk Analyst to monitor P&L, risk KPIs, and reporting within a dynamic energy business. You will analyse portfolios, discuss risk with Front Office and Risk teams, and contribute to the ongoing development of risk analytics.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in market risk, proficiency with data reporting, BI tools, ETRM systems, and knowledge of Python or R. Fluent English and a collaborative, structured working style are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of professional experience in market risk, especially in reporting and analysis, ideally in energy/commodities.
• Comfortable with data and reporting tools; experience with ETRM systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and risk analytics frameworks.
• Knowledge of Python and/or R is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured, detail-oriented approach.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily analysis of P&L and risk KPIs, including clear reporting to stakeholders.
• Analyze Trading and Origination portfolios on their risk profile and discuss findings with Front Office, Management, and other Risk teams.
• Conduct in-depth analyses on topics requested by the Head of Market Risk Management, the Management Board, Group Functions, or Audit.
• Maintain the data in the ETRM system (e.g. book openings).
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the company's risk analytics and Reporting framework.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant market risk rules through implementation, calculation, and control.
