Job summary

Axpo Polska is seeking a Market Risk Analyst to help ensure that the company's activities comply with market risk rules while analyzing portfolio performance and risk.

You will deliver daily P&L and risk KPI analyses, report to stakeholders, and contribute to the ongoing development of risk analytics and BI reporting in a dynamic energy business.

Collaborating with Front Office and Risk teams, you will maintain data in the ETRM system and support continuous improvement of risk controls.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of professional market risk experience with reporting and analysis.
• Experience in energy or commodities risk is preferred.
• Strong data handling and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily P&L and risk KPI analysis with clear stakeholder reporting.
• Assess risk profiles of Trading and Origination portfolios and discuss findings with Front Office.
• Conduct in-depth topic analyses at request from Head of Market Risk or Audit.
• Maintain data in the ETRM system (e.g. book openings).
• Contribute to risk analytics and reporting framework development.
• Ensure compliance with market risk rules through implementation and controls.

Join Axpo Polska as a Market Risk Analyst and help ensure that the company’s activities comply with relevant market risk rules and controls. You will analyze portfolio performance and risk, prepare regular reporting, and contribute to the continued development of risk analytics and business intelligence in a dynamic energy business.

What you will do:

• Perform daily analysis of P&L and risk KPIs, including clear reporting to stakeholders
• Analyze Trading and Origination portfolios on their risk profile and discuss findings with Front Office, Management, and other Risk teams
• Conduct in-depth analyses on selected topics requested by the Head of Market Risk Management, the Management Board, Group Functions, or Audit
• Maintain the data in the ETRM system (e.g. book openings)
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the company's risk analytics and Reporting framework
• Ensure compliance with all relevant market risk rules through implementation, calculation, and control

What you bring & who you are:

• 3-4 years of professional experience in market risk, particularly in reporting and analysis, or a related field, ideally within the energy or commodities sector with a sound understanding of financial risk and financial instruments
• Comfortable working with data and reporting tools; experience with ETRM systems is a plus
• Ideally, familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and risk analytics frameworks
• Knowledge of Python and/or R is an advantage
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured, detail-oriented way of working
• Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
