Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Development Engineer to support product development, industrialization, and manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to optimize processes, ensure product quality, and implement new products and engineering changes.

You will leverage Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, lead production launches, and provide technical support across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Development, or related field.
• 2-3+ years of experience in an international manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical/manufacturing documentation.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform under pressure.
• Practical project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve manufacturing processes using Lean principles to boost quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and performance.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support to production teams and implement corrective actions.
• Develop employee knowledge and promote standardized manufacturing methods.
• Lead and support new product introductions, engineering changes, and launches with focus on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Coordinate and monitor production areas for process stability, tool availability, and documentation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, product files, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Participate in product transfer, industrialization, and manufacturing readiness projects.
• Provide technical support regarding product design and construction across Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functions.
• Collaborate with Quality to define requirements, support inspections, and drive quality improvements.
• Support customer complaint investigations and implement CAPA to improve reliability and satisfaction.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure data-driven decision making.
• Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
