What you’ll be doing
- Manual testing of web-based products (UI and API)
- Preparing test data and documentation, making sure everything is kept up to date
- Performing testing activities including requirements analysis, test planning, test-case preparation, test execution and test-closure activities
- Working closely with the Development and Product teams throughout the entire life cycle of product releases
- Extending and improving automation tests
What we expect from you
- Essential
- At least two years’ experience as a manual QA Engineer
- Solid understanding of QA best practices and methodologies
- Deep awareness and demonstrable experience of functional testing
- Hands-on experience in manual testing of web-based applications
- Experience of API testing (understanding of REST API concept)
- The ability to build and maintain test documentation
- Experience in cross-browser and cross-platform testing
- Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
- The ability to juggle a number of things at once and deliver to tight deadlines
- A proactive attitude towards solving problems
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Bags of passion and drive, and a genuine desire to make things bigger and better
- A positive, team-playing attitude – things only work when we all come together
- Desirable
- Experience in test automation
- Knowledge of programming language – TypeScript would be ideal
- An understanding of web automation tools such as WebdriverIO, Selenium, and API testing tools such as Postman
- Experience using CI/CD tools (preferably Jenkins)
- Familiarity with SQL databases
- Experience with modern HTML/CSS and TypeScript – this would be a significant advantage
- Knowledge of digital image processing
