Pega’s Technical Documentation team is seeking a Manager of Technical Documentation to empower Pega Community users with world‑class technology resources. This team creates technical content and supporting assets for the Pega Community, working closely with product owners, curriculum developers, and subject matter experts. We are collaborative, service‑oriented, and detail‑focused, committed to producing documentation and educational materials that users find valuable and engaging. Our audience ranges from experienced developers to first‑time users of Pega products.

The Manager of Technical Documentation will lead a high‑performing team responsible for delivering product documentation aligned with release schedules. This role is accountable for overseeing content development and ensuring accuracy and clarity, managing milestone reporting and timely delivery of documentation, driving quality standards to enable successful customer adoption for assigned products or product areas.

What You’ll Do at Pega:
  • Lead a global team of technical writers to produce high‑quality documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvements in both content quality and documentation processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and Consulting teams to understand developer requirements and ensure all content aligns with product best practices, use case models, and effective presentation standards.
  • Develop and manage project plans for your area of responsibility, ensuring timely delivery of best‑in‑class documentation in line with product release schedules.
Who You Are:

An intelligent, motivated, and collaborative professional with outstanding communication and people management skills. Experienced in leading teams of technical writers to document complex software products, while leveraging generative AI and automation tools to enhance technical documentation.

What You’ve Accomplished:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Documentation, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience documenting software products
  • Proven ability to implement Agile documentation practices, including incremental updates and close collaboration with scrum teams
  • System Architect certification required within 3 months of joining Pegasystems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Strong program and project management experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across organizational boundaries
  • Experience with content authoring and publishing tools such as oXygen and DITA
  • Ability to organize and present technical material to diverse audiences
  • Capability to independently manage documentation projects, including developing and executing comprehensive documentation plans
  • Demonstrated adaptability to changing priorities and work methods
