Job summary

Zebra Technologies in Wroclaw, Poland, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead a team developing computer vision and advanced barcode reading algorithms. You will own system architecture, drive technical practices, mentor engineers, and coordinate with Product and Program Management to meet customer commitments.

The ideal candidate has a strong C/C++ background, deep image processing and CV expertise, and 8+ years delivering software solutions in large organizations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent engineering discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of classical/traditional algorithms and data structures.
• Advanced C/C++ programming and software architecture skills.
• Strong foundation in image processing and computer vision, preferably with high-performance 1D/2D barcode decoding.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering or software solution delivery.
• Experience in large/global organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team focused on computer vision and barcode reading algorithms.
• Drive delivery of software projects and mentor team development.

Take responsibility for overall system architecture, technical practices, solving customer issues, as well as for mentoring the team, developing talent and coordinate scope of work with Product and Program Management. Ensure the integrity of the architecture/design and technical aptitude of the team.
