Job summary

EY GDS Poland is recruiting for a M&A Senior Consultant for Cloud and Infrastructure solutions to support complex transformation and separation programs across technology, processes and operating models, guiding execution from defined approach to delivery.

You will work with clients to shape solutions, manage technology workstreams, and coordinate infrastructure migrations, with focus on cloud platforms and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and IT infrastructure.
• Experience with data center strategies and hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure migration approaches (lift-and-shift, re-build, exit).
• 6+ years’ IT project management, IT infrastructure or IT consulting.
• Willingness to travel across EU (up to 20%).
• Excellent written and verbal English; German or other European languages a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with international teams and work outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end technology workstreams in strategic and complex transformations, or M&A transactions.
• Contribute to technology strategy and architecture discussions, including system separation, integration, and optimization.
• Coordinate complex infrastructure projects and manage relations with client stakeholders, including C-level.
• Develop high-quality client deliverables (presentations, assessments, business cases) with a strong storyline and executive focus.
• Translate business needs into scalable, technology-enabled solutions across cloud and infrastructure domains.
• Leverage AI tools and innovative approaches to accelerate analysis, solution design, and delivery efficiency.
• Quickly ramp up on new functional or technical areas, applying structured thinking and AI-assisted problem solving where prior experience is limited.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and automation in client environments and proactively bring improvement ideas.

We are looking for a M&A Senior Consultant for Cloud and Infrastructuresolutions to support complex transformation and separation programs, including large-scale divestitures acting as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the full lifecycle of separation initiatives. In this role, you will primarily focus on defining the approach, shaping solutions, and guiding execution. You will help clients understand required changes across their technology landscape, business processes, and operating models, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Your key responsibilities

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Strong understanding and proven practical experience of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and IT infrastructure
• Knowledge of data center strategies and hybrid cloud environments
• Familiarity with infrastructure migration approaches (e.g. lift-and-shift, re-build, exit)
• +6 years’ experience in IT project management, IT infrastructure and in IT consulting roles
• Ability to travel and work across EU (up to 20% annually)
• Excellent written and verbal command of English (German and other European language will be a plus)
• Occasional work outside normal business hours to work with international teams (e.g. United States)

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in M&A transactions (e.g. due diligence, integrations, separations, transformations)
• Cloud specific transformations (e.g. Tenant separation, subscription/account restructuring, migration sequencing)
• Cloud / Infrastructure certifications
• University degree in field related to IT
• Experience in building strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers
• Already gained experience in international environment
