M&A Senior Consultant for Data & AI

We are looking for a M&A Senior Consultant for Data & AI to support complex transformation and separation programs, including large-scale divestitures, acting as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the full lifecycle of data and technology initiatives. In this role, you will primarily focus on defining data strategy and migration approaches, shaping practical AI-enabled solutions, and guiding execution. You will help clients understand required changes across their data landscape, business processes, and operating models, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

The opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end data and AI workstreams in strategic and complex transformations, or M&A transactions such as Day 1 readiness, integration / separation approach, etc.
• Contribute to data strategy, governance, architecture, and migration discussions, including data separation, integration, quality, and optimization
• Identify valuable data and AI use cases in client environments, assess feasibility and risks, and proactively bring improvement ideas
• Assess data landscapes and AI capabilities, identifying business-critical dependencies, operating model improvements, risks, opportunities, and investment requirements
• Coordinate complex data migration, separation, consolidation, and rationalization initiatives and manage relations with client stakeholders, including C-level
• Develop high-quality client deliverables (presentations, assessments, migration strategies, business cases) with a strong storyline and executive focus
• Translate business needs into scalable, data-driven and AI-enabled solutions across business and technology domains
• Apply Microsoft Copilot Studio and other approved AI tools in day-to-day work to accelerate research, analysis, content creation, solution design and prototyping
• Design and configure practical AI solutions, including copilots, agents, prompts, and simple low-code automations

To qualify for the role

• At least 6 years of experience in data transformation, technology project management, or IT consulting, including data strategy, migration, integration, separation, or consolidation
• Strong understanding of enterprise data landscapes, data flows, dependencies, data quality, and governance principles
• Hands‑on experience defining and coordinating data migration approaches, including scope, roadmaps, waves, reconciliation, cutover, and stabilization
• Ability to translate business objectives into clear data capabilities, priorities, and practical data and AI initiatives
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience using Microsoft Copilot Studio or comparable enterprise AI tools, including configuring agents, reusable prompts, knowledge sources, or low‑code workflows
• Strong understanding of generative AI, including large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and integration with enterprise applications and data
• Understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, security, access control, and human oversight in enterprise use cases
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, including risks, issues, dependencies, resource planning, and communication with senior stakeholders
• Ability to develop decision‑ready recommendations, business cases, cost estimates, and value cases, and to travel across the EU up to 20% annually

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in M&A transactions, including data separation, integration, migration, or transformation
• Experience applying AI to M&A projects, e.g. integrations, carve‑outs, or post‑deal value creation
• Experience assessing data landscapes, migration readiness, critical data objects, dependencies, quality, and ownership
• Understanding of data governance, metadata, master data, reporting, analytics, and cloud data platforms
• Practical experience with Power Platform, or comparable low-code AI tools
• University degree in a field related to business, data, technology, or analytics
• Already gained experience in an international environment
• Relevant AI solutions, cloud or data certifications
