Job summary

Woodward, Inc. is seeking a logistics supervisor for our warehouse and shipping department in Poland. You will direct subordinates, ensure proper handling of incoming products, and apply LEAN principles to material handling and processes.

You will work with freight carriers, prepare paperwork, coordinate cycle counts, and drive KPI performance. The role requires solid LEAN knowledge, a high school diploma (bachelor preferred), MRP systems and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• LEAN in logistics knowledge.
• Strong command of English and communication skills.
• 3–5 years of logistics experience.
• Ability to learn processes, equipment and tools.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Ability to organize and prioritize daily activities.
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.

• Directs the activities of, and has responsibility for, subordinates in warehouse and shipping department
• Responsible for the proper handling of incoming products through the receiving docks, and stocking and handling of components
• Implements LEAN solutions into material handling and logistics processes
• Work directly with the freight carriers to ensure compliance with Woodward freight initiatives and policies
• Responsible for the preparation of all necessary paperwork and the coordination of cycle count and all necessary activities required to package and ship materials and products required to satisfy customer requirements
• Responsible for achieving departmental goals & performance measures KPI’s
• Coordinates work load requirements and work scheduling with teams
• Develops, reviews and maintains staffing requirements
• Responsible for annual performance evaluations and discipline of the subordinates
• Identify and provide training needs related to safety, quality, new technologies and application tools for members development

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Solid knowledge about LEAN in logistics
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferable bachelor’s degree
• Solid knowledge of business computer systems (MRP)
• Strong English language skills and communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn processes, equipment and tools used in specific areas of responsibility
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports / presentations of ongoing logistics processes
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize day-to-day activities and issues within functional area
• Ability to make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Demonstrate experience leading continuous improvement activities through strong team-building and problem-solving
• 3-5 years experience in logistics
