Logistics Specialist
Location: Warsaw
Contract Duration – 6 months
About the role
As a Logistics Specialist in our chemical manufacturing organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and reliable execution of logistics operations across external warehouses. You will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound flows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and working closely with internal teams and external partners to support smooth day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities
Inbound logistics operations
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt of materials from internal and external suppliers.
- Process inbound deliveries in SAP, ensuring accurate and timely goods receipt postings.
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve discrepancies, delays, or documentation issues.
Outbound logistics operations
- Manage order fulfillment and shipping activities for finished products to internal and external destinations.
- Oversee transportation planning and scheduling in cooperation with carriers and warehouses.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery confirmations via SAP and EDI channels.
Stock and inventory management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by monitoring and reconciling stock movements in SAP.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Support regular stock counts and cycle counting activities at external warehouses.
Systems integration
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve EDI-related errors or failed transmissions in collaboration with IT and service providers.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with internal departments including Planning, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, EHS, and other stakeholders to ensure aligned and compliant logistics operations.
Qualifications
- Professional background in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations, with hands-on experience.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Practical experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and propose effective solutions.
- Proactive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to engage in operational challenges and continuous improvement.
- Experience with EDI processes (nice to have).
- Proficiency in Polish and English (both required); additional European languages are an advantage.
- Good Excel skills, including working with data sets (pivot tables, lookups, filtering, etc.).
- Solid understanding of logistics flows, documentation, and coordination with internal and external partners.
- Ability to work accurately in a dynamic, fast-changing environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and readiness to take initiative when issues arise.
