Job summary

SQUAD in Wrocław, Poland, is seeking a C++ Software Engineer with a strong Linux background to join our R&D team. You will design, build, and maintain high-performance software for our Linux-based IoT product, collaborating with hardware and QA to shape the architecture.

You will own features end-to-end, write unit tests, optimize performance, and participate in reviews. English communication at least B1 is expected in a fast-paced hardware-software environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial software development in C++.
• Strong Linux development and debugging experience.
• Experience with build systems, version control, and CI/CD (CMake, Git).
• Unit tests and code optimization experience.
• Good problem-solving with complex requirements.
• English written/spoken at least B1.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new C++ features for Linux-based devices.
• Own features through full cycle: design, code, debug, deploy.
• Write clean, tested code and documentation.
• Debug and profile system issues and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, and management.
• Participate in code reviews and planning sessions.
