Job summary

The Evangelical Alliance Mission | TEAM is seeking a Legacy and Major Gift Planner to collaborate with the Director of Development and manage a portfolio of donors. You will design solicitation and stewardship strategies, handle estates and trusts, and provide leadership to gift officers.

This full-time, salaried role requires fundraising expertise, a faith-based alignment, and the ability to travel up to 40% to engage donors and advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, philanthropy, communications or like field.
• CFRE, CSPG or CAP certifications desired but not required.
• Four years of full-time fundraising paid work experience OR ten consecutive years of verifiable volunteer related experience for nonprofit organizations.
• Proven record in donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and engagement for major and planned giving.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding planned and major giving goals.
• Strong relational ability and biblical context understanding.
• Ability to make presentations and develop written, printed, and electronic communication and marketing materials.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Understand TEAM’s values and mission and articulate those values in conversations and writing.
• Manage relationships with a portfolio of donors and prospects to support annual, major and planned giving.
• Set and pursue realistic and stretch goals for individual and team giving.
• Design and implement giving strategies and solicit donors through proposals and personal contacts.
• Oversee major and planned giving activities and budgets.
• Collaborate on marketing strategies for targeted giving groups with Communications.
• Oversee policies for planned giving and compliance with regulations.
• Travel as needed to cultivate and steward donors.
