Department and role

The Lean/Operations Department is responsible for translating the plant’s Lean Masterplan into actionable projects and initiatives that boost both financial and non-financial performance improvements. The department promotes a Lean culture by supporting best practice sharing, standardization, and continuous improvement activities across all plant functions. Working closely with stakeholders at every level, the team utilizes Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies to obtain sustainable results and develop organizational capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Support and deliver the Lean strategy in the plant, engaging key stakeholders and developing Lean culture
  • Lead or support small to medium impact Lean projects, including project tracking and coaching
  • Coordinate the “Why-Not?” program, identifying and sharing best practices
  • Oversee LMPS (Lean Management Production System) implementation and training
  • Support plant Lean assessments and ensure compliance with Lean standards
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members in Lean methods and continuous improvement
  • Communicate Lean improvements and project results through defined channels
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s degree beneficial)
  • At least 3 years of experience across the value chain, with 2 years in Operations and completion of Lean projects
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (from a recognized institute)
  • Experience with project management and change management (certification beneficial)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Projects
  • Fluency in English; other languages beneficial
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate and engage cross-functional teams
  • Practical, engaged approach with collaborative spirit
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Result-oriented leadership and task-focused professional approach
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and support others
