GE Vernova in Wroclaw, Poland, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, repair, and calibrate Steam Turbine systems on-site. You will diagnose equipment, provide technical guidance to customers, and support aftermarket upgrades while ensuring safety and quality standards.

This role requires a technical/university degree or equivalent field experience, valid driving license, English proficiency, and willingness to travel extensively (80%+), including international assignments.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Site Supervision: Oversee third-party critical tasks, perform installation walk-downs, and ensure contractor compliance.
• Quality & Safety: Enforce GE safety standards and drive customer satisfaction through high-quality work and technical sign‑offs.
• Administrative Management: Maintain documentation, including technical reports, job status updates, expense reports, and material logistics.
• Leadership & Development: Coach and mentor team members to share product and field engineering knowledge.
• Operational Flexibility: Travel extensively (80%+), including weekends/holidays as necessary.
• Organizational Alignment: Support core values and vision through proactive task management.

• Operational Flexibility: Support project requirements through extensive travel, overtime, and work on weekends/holidays as necessary.

• Organizational Alignment: Support core values and vision through proactive task management.

Qualifications

• Technical/University degree or qualifying experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with experience in a Field Services role or equivalent qualifications.

• Experience in a field services or power generation equipment maintenance position

• SEP certificate for group 2 - operations.

• Solid understanding of Steam Turbine Operation and Controlling Parameters.

• Strong technical competence in basing steam turbines and auxiliaries services operations like: alignment, balancing, assessment, etc.

• Valid driver’s license.

• English proficiency required.

• Ability and willingness to travel in Poland and internationally (80%+).
