Job summary

DCG Poland is seeking a Lead Solutions / Data Architect to design and implement cloud-based data architecture on AWS. You will lead data modeling, governance, and migration strategies across multiple clients, ensuring scalability and security.

The role requires hands-on Redshift experience, AWS Glue, and English communication for business collaboration. You will work with engineers and analysts to deliver robust data platforms and drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Professional certification required.
• 6+ years of experience in data architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift (Provisioned and/or Serverless).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data architecture on AWS Redshift and AWS Glue.
• Design the Semantic Data Spine and a semantic layer across products and clients.
• Data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault) for performance and scalability.
• Define governance, data quality, and security standards (GDPR compliance).
• Optimize query performance and manage Redshift resources (distribution styles, sort keys, WLM).
• Design and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines (AWS Glue, Redshift Spectrum, data integration).
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architects to implement solutions aligned with the target architecture.
• Support migration of data from legacy systems into the AWS environment.

Lead Solutions / Data Architect

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data architecture based on AWS Redshift and AWS Glue
• Design the Semantic Data Spine and a semantic layer consistent across multiple products and clients
• Data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault) with a focus on performance and scalability
• Define governance, data quality, and security standards (including GDPR compliance)
• Optimize query performance and manage Redshift resources (distribution styles, sort keys, WLM)
• Design and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines (AWS Glue, Redshift Spectrum, data integration)
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architects to implement solutions aligned with the target architecture
• Support migration of data from legacy systems into the AWS environment

Requirements:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Professional
• 6+ years of experience in data architecture
• Hands-on, production-level experience with Amazon Redshift (Provisioned and/or Serverless)
• Experience with AWS Glue and the broader AWS ecosystem (S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch)
• Ability to design data models and modeling standards
• Experience designing data pipelines and data lakes
• Professional-level English enabling smooth business communication

Nice to have:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools
• Experience migrating on-premise data warehouses to Redshift
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI)
