Job summary

QLAB at the University of Warsaw seeks an exceptional researcher to lead the Research Group on Quantum Computation and Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will build and lead a team focused on hybrid quantum-classical algorithms, quantum neuromorphic computing, and algorithm optimization for NISQ systems, with external funding and industry collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, computer science, or related field with significant expertise in quantum computing and/or AI.
• Strong publication record in high-impact journals.
• Experience in leading research teams and securing external funding.
• Startup mindset and ability to work with industry partners.
• International research experience (e.g., postdoctoral fellowships abroad).

Responsibilities

• Lead a Research Group on Quantum Computation and Artificial Intelligence.
• Build and guide a team focused on hybrid quantum-classical algorithms and computational paradigms.
• Advance QNC and reservoir computing initiatives, and optimize algorithms for NISQ systems.
• Benchmark and validate quantum advantage.
