Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Senior QA / Test Automation Engineer to ensure quality across information systems supporting competition processes in a European organization. You will combine hands-on automation with QA governance, test strategy, performance testing, risk management, and continuous improvement.

The role requires extensive experience in automation, testing strategies, and standards compliance; you will report to stakeholders and drive quality initiatives across teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software testing experience.
• 8+ years of test automation development.
• Strong Java automation experience with RestAssured, TestNG, JUnit, and Log4j.
• Strong Selenium experience.
• Experience with ExtentReports, Allure, or ReportPortal.
• Experience with Gherkin and Cucumber.
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and Mocha.
• Knowledge of MySQL, MS SQL, and Oracle.
• 8+ years of relational database test data management experience.
• 10+ years of information systems lifecycle knowledge.
• 10+ years of software development methodology experience, including Agile.
• 10+ years of experience with Test Management and Defect Tracking tools.
• Experience with Postman and Jira.
• 5+ years of performance/load testing experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC practices and risk-based testing.
• Experience implementing/auditing ISO 9001, CMMI, or similar standards.
• Knowledge of IT systems testing related to competition policies.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain QA procedures, strategies, test plans, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Lead test automation, campaigns, quality assessments, audits, and reporting.
• Analyze defects, quality metrics, and risks and drive corrective actions.
• Apply risk-based testing and promote ISO 9001/CMMI quality practices.
• Communicate quality status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Strong reporting, analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills
• English at B2 level or higher; French will be a plus
• ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent certification is mandatory
• ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager or ITIL Foundation 4 will be a plus
