EPAM Systems (Poland) sp. z o.o. is seeking a Lead Python Developer to join our AI innovations team in Kraków.

You will design and build advanced Python applications, work with Azure services, and implement event-based and RAG architectures for a high-security financial domain project. You will collaborate with top-tier engineers from the EPAM AI Innovation Hub and FirstDerivative, shaping core architecture and driving critical design decisions in a Greenfield effort.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Python development.
• 1+ years of relevant leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure or other cloud technologies (AWS or GCP).
• Experience with Vector Databases.
• Understanding of event-based design patterns.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions.
• Utilize Azure services to build scalable applications.
• Implement event-based design patterns to enhance functionality.
• Apply Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) principles.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize code for performance.
