Job summary

Wipro Limited in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator with strong automation skills to manage OS upgrades, configuration, and compliance across complex environments. You will work in a hybrid model, contributing to Ansible-based deployments and on-call support.

The role emphasizes SRE fundamentals, RCA documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Experience with VXVM, RAC prerequisites, and scripting is valued.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/ UNIX system administration.
• Experience with OS upgrades, patching, installation, configuration, and compliance.
• Good knowledge of Ansible and infrastructure automation.
• Strong knowledge of VCS clustering and VXVM.
• Experience with HBA and NIC configuration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of RAC cluster prerequisites and infrastructure setup.
• Experience with UNIX Shell scripting; Perl scripting is an advantage.
• Understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD concepts.
• Experience preparing RCA documentation and handling critical technical incidents.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and participate in scheduled on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute OS upgrades across complex VM and physical servers.
• Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot OS environments.
• Maintain OS compliance tools and security configurations.
• Configure and troubleshoot HBA and NIC load balancing.
• Support VCS clusters and VXVM storage systems.
• Assist RAC cluster prerequisites and infrastructure setup.
• Develop automation using Ansible for provisioning, patching, and hardening.
• Create Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and variables.
• Integrate Ansible with CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
• Use UNIX Shell and Perl scripting for admin tasks.
• Prepare RCA documentation and participate in on-call support.
