Job summary

Britenet in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Java Developer/Team Lead to drive cross-functional development for mobile, e-commerce, or consumer-facing platforms.

You will shape technical roadmaps, participate in product discovery with Product, UX, and Business, and own end-to-end delivery in a hybrid setup.

The role requires 5+ years in Java, strong JVM ecosystem skills, and hands-on leadership; English and Polish proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years of experience as Java Developer.
• Strong experience with Java ecosystem: Java, Kotlin, Groovy, Spring; Python and Go.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Mesos and TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of engineering practices: TDD, DDD, CI/CD, Pair Programming.
• Ownership and responsibility for outcomes, quality and reliability.
• Hands-on engineering with ability to drive decisions, review code and design architecture.
• Excellent English and Polish language skills (at least B2).
• Open to hybrid work from the client's Warsaw office.

• Proven track record of leading development teams, including people management, project execution, and predictable delivery.
• Min. 5 years of experience as Java Developer
• Knowledge and experience with Java Ecosystem - Java, Kotlin, Groovy, Spring Framework, and other languages - Python, Go
• Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop , Apache Mesos and TensorFlow
• Knowledge of engineering practices & methodologies: TDD, DDD, CI/CD, Pair Programming
• Strong sense of ownership: full accountability for outcomes, quality, and system reliability.
• Strong hands-on engineering background with the ability to co-drive technical decisions, conduct code reviews, and design system architecture.
• Commitment to engineering excellence (clean code, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and production readiness).
• Participation in product discovery as a key technical partner.
• Ability to translate business goals into a clear scope of work, priorities, and actionable roadmaps.
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment (Product, UX, Business).
• Proven track record in mobile app development
• Documented experience in AI-driven projects and OKR frameworks
• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or consumer-facing platforms
• Advanced communication skillis both in Polish and English (at least B2 level).
• Open to hybrid work from the client's Warsaw office.
