Job summary

Jacobs Poland is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Global Design Center in Poland, with offices in Kraków and Warsaw. You will lead geotechnical design, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with international project teams, contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects.

The role requires a MSc in geotechnical civil engineering, 10+ years of geotechnical design experience, proficiency with geotechnical/finite element software, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• MSc in civil engineering with geotechnical specialization required.
• Minimum 10 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering design.
• Fluent English, verbal and written.
• Chartered/licensed status in Poland or the UK preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical calculations and design work.
• Supervise junior staff in planning, site investigations, design, construction and monitoring.
• Carry out technical reviews and checks.
• Prepare technical specifications, notes and geotechnical reports.
• Collaborate with local and foreign project teams.
• Manage geotechnical projects, track programmes and delivery dates.
• Liaise with contractors and clients, both external and internal.
• Assist with technical bidding activities.
• Train and mentor junior engineers; contribute to Communities of Practice.
