GFT Technologies SE in Kraków is seeking an seasoned Backend Engineer to join the Risk & Compliance team. You will design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade applications with Java and Spring, while contributing to React/TypeScript frontend work when needed.

The role blends hands-on engineering, architecture, leadership, and collaboration within Agile delivery teams. You will mentor peers, drive technical quality, and ensure production readiness through robust testing, logging, and deployment

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise app development.
• 2+ years of technical team leadership.
• Strong Java and Spring stack expertise.
• Experience with microservices and micro-databases.
• Event-driven systems experience.
• ReactJS and TypeScript experience.
• API specs using Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Solid automated testing (JUnit).
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud services development experience.
• Agile Scrum with JIRA/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support backend services and APIs with Java/Spring.
• Create technical designs and UML diagrams.
• Deliver end-to-end features across backend/frontend.
• Implement microservices and API contracts.
• Build integrations with event-driven patterns.
• Develop BPMN-based workflow capabilities.
• Ensure production readiness with logging and resilience.
• Develop and maintain batch processing solutions.
• Drive software quality with automated testing and code scanning.
• Containerize and deploy with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams using JIRA/Confluence.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring.
