Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Full Stack Lead Engineer for the enterprise AI platform Neo within Group IT. You will drive architecture, product thinking, and scalable AI-powered user experiences that matter to thousands of Capgemini employees globally.

You’ll partner with Product Design and Engineering leaders, shape MVPs, and lead cross-functional teams across frontend, backend, and cloud. This role blends hands-on coding with strategic tech leadership.

Your role

This is not your typical engineering role.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Lead Engineer to our group wide enterprise platform NEO, who doesn’t just write code, but thinks in systems, builds fast, and helps shape the future of both product and team. You’ll partner closely with the Global Product Design Director to define what’s next.

This isn’t just code. It’s architecture, product thinking, challenging the status quo, problem framing, fast iteration, and building systems that scale with intelligence and intent. It’s about leading the charge in building something that actually matters. It’s ambitious. The vision is clear, but there's ambiguity too — and that's where you thrive.

Neo is an internal AI platform for Capgemini employees that help to find relevant information in knowledge bases, perform specific actions in internal systems (for example requesting a day off) or solving business problems via connecting to custom programming interfaces (APIs). The mission is to increase professional efficiency by having a centralized place where users can solve their problems using AI.

In this role you will play a key part in

• Drive end-to-end product development by partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to define MVPs, rapidly prototype solutions, and evolve a scalable AI platform into a market-leading product experience.
• Lead full-stack engineering initiatives across front-end, backend, cloud infrastructure, and AI-powered user experiences, leveraging technologies such as React, Node.js, GCP, Tailwind CSS, Micro-Frontends, Nx, Jest, and Cypress.
• Design and develop AI-centric platform capabilities, including custom middleware, backend services, session management, prompt orchestration, permissions models, data workflows, integrations, connectors, agents, and workflow automation solutions.
• Champion engineering excellence and scalability by fostering a culture of ownership, autonomy, technical quality, and innovation while contributing to architectural decisions, DevOps practices, infrastructure strategy, and platform growth.
• Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment, embracing ambiguity, making informed decisions with incomplete information, and bringing curiosity, creativity, and a continuous experimentation mindset to keep the organization at the forefront of AI technologies.

Your profile

• Strong full-stack engineering expertise with hands-on experience in React, Tailwind CSS, Node.js/NestJS, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Solid backend and integration experience, including Java and/or .NET, API development, middleware architecture, and building high-performing, scalable connections between front-end and back-end systems.
• Proven technical leadership capabilities, with experience mentoring or leading engineers and a strong desire to help build teams, shape engineering culture, and drive transformational technology initiatives.
• Strategic and innovative mindset, combining hands-on software development with architectural thinking, curiosity for emerging technologies, and the ability to balance execution with long-term vision.
• Experience with modern AI and enterprise technologies, including AI agents, MCP, Agent-to-Agent frameworks, LLMs, RAG architectures, conversational interfaces, authentication protocols (OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect, SSO), and ideally exposure to solution architecture, networking, UX/product design, or zero-to-one product development.
