Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Lead Frontend Software Engineer to guide the Engineering Platform team. You’ll shape frontend architecture, implement shared UI frameworks, and mentor engineers to deliver scalable, accessible UI across a cloud-native ecosystem.

You’ll work with architects and product teams to evolve a micro frontend approach, driving performance, testability, and high-quality user experiences at scale.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of frontend development experience with leadership in a technical role.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React.
• Experience building shared design systems with PrimeReact, Material UI, Bootstrap, or Tailwind.
• Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, modern CSS, and preprocessors (SASS/LESS).
• Experience implementing Micro Frontend architectures in large-scale systems.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and async patterns.
• Frontend performance profiling and cross-browser testing expertise.
• Deep knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, and tooling (Vite/Webpack) and testing (Jest/Cypress/Playwright).

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate technical vision for frontend architecture across multiple platform teams.
• Lead the development of shared UI infrastructure, design system components, and micro frontend integration strategies using React, TypeScript, and PrimeReact.
• Collaborate with Staff and Principal Engineers to align with long-term architectural goals and cloud-first principles.
• Partner with product, UX, and engineering leadership to define scalable frontend capabilities aligned to customer needs.
• Guide the team on accessibility, performance, test automation, and maintainability practices.
• Drive architectural reviews, pair programming, mentoring, and hands-on development.
• Contribute to and evolve CI/CD workflows, component versioning strategies, and documentation processes.
• Champion frontend performance techniques including lazy loading, code splitting, asset optimization, and telemetry.
• Define and enforce UI testing standards including unit/integration/end-to-end testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to strengthen technical leadership.
• Lead initiatives exploring AI-enhanced UI/UX, including smart components and adaptive interfaces.
