Job summary

DP CleanTech Co. Ltd is seeking a Lead Flue Gas Treatment Process Engineer to drive the design of advanced FGT systems for biomass, waste-to-energy and industrial plants.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field is essential
• 10+ years in process engineering with 5+ years in Flue Gas Treatment or industrial air pollution control
• Proven experience delivering FGT projects from concept through commissioning
• Strong understanding of industrial combustion and emission control technologies
• Experience preparing engineering calculations and process documentation
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the process and mechanical design of Flue Gas Treatment systems across projects globally.
• Support proposal development, technical bid evaluations and customer meetings during sales phase.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets and specifications.
• Collaborate with Procurement to evaluate suppliers and review vendor documentation.
• Participate in HAZOP, design reviews and technical risk assessments.
• Provide technical leadership during commissioning, testing and plant optimisation.
• Troubleshoot operating plants and provide expert guidance.
• Collaborate with Boiler, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, Procurement and Project Management teams.
• Develop and improve DP CleanTech's FGT standards, manuals and tools.
• Mentor engineers within the FGT discipline.

Lead Flue Gas Treatment Process Engineer

Job Title: Lead Flue Gas TreatmentProcessEngineer

Profile Requirement: degree in Engineering, project engineering/ technical experiences in relation to flue gas treatment, emission control, technical leadership

Line Manager: Managing Director (UAE)

Other Reporting Line: Global Engineering Head

Role Purpose

DP UAE mainly provides top management for group business globally and facilitates engineering work as well if Dubai is a preferred location for employee.

DP UK is the technical and project engineering hub for the DP group specializing in flue gas treatment (including De-dust, De-SOx and De-NOx) for Waste-to-Energy and Biomass-to-Energy plants. The office and team usually has one major contract under construction in the UK and, at any one time, several external contracts either in development or execution in collaboration with other offices in the group.

The Lead FGT Process Engineer is expected to remotely lead the small group of 5-6 professionals supplies engineering support from the early sales phase right through to project execution, and after-market services to our customers, in and outside of UK; and to actively integrate the UK into the group’s global engineering platform with the objectives of increasing the global integration of project engineering, and further developing the IP/know-how for new product designs and new fuels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the process and mechanical design of Flue Gas Treatment systems across all projects globally for biomass, waste-to-energy and industrial combustion plants, which the system includes:

• Dry, Semi-Dry and Wet Scrubbing Systems
• Fabric Filters (Baghouses)
• Reactor Towers
• Lime and Activated Carbon Injection Systems
• Pneumatic and Mechanical Conveying Systems
• Storage Silos and Dosing Systems
• Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)
• Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR)

2. Support proposal development, technical bid evaluations and customer meetings during the sales phase.

3. Prepare, review and approve various engineering calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets and technical specifications.

4. Work closely with Procurement to evaluate suppliers and review vendor documentation.

5. Participate in HAZOP, design reviews and technical risk assessments.

6. Provide technical leadership during commissioning, performance testing and plant optimisation.

7. Support troubleshooting of operating plants and provide expert technical guidance.

8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Boiler Process, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, Procurement and Project Management.

9. Develop, maintain and improve DP CleanTech's FGT engineering standards, design manuals and calculation tools.

10. Mentor and develop engineers within the FGT discipline.

Required Skills

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is essential.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in process engineering, including at least 5 years within Flue Gas Treatment or industrial air pollution control.
• Proven experience delivering industrial FGT projects from concept through commissioning.
• Strong understanding of industrial combustion processes and emission control technologies.
• Experience preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications and process documentation.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
