Job summary

Samba TV, Warsaw-based AI-powered media intelligence company, is seeking a Lead FinOps Engineer to design and lead a formal cloud cost program. You will build tools to provide visibility into cloud spend for product and engineering teams across AWS and GCP, and drive cost optimization and governance.

You will implement forecasting models, manage Savings Plans, and report findings to budget owners, enabling cost-conscious decisions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience navigating the cost and billing systems of AWS or GCP.
• Strong FinOps knowledge with practical implementation experience.
• Able to write code to develop internal tools and automation for cloud resources.
• Proficient in SQL and able to analyze cost/usage reports and logs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive cloud cost initiatives across the organization.
• Create dashboards and tools for Product, Engineering, and Finance visibility.
• Identify key cost drivers and report findings to budget owners.
• Build models for forecasting, anomaly detection, and attribution.
• Manage AWS Savings Plans or GCP Committed-Use Discounts.
• Lead the FinOps practice and promote cost-conscious culture.
