Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Lead Engineer for Marine Refits based in Gliwice or Wrocław, Poland. You will guide technical execution and planning of refit projects, coordinate with the Project Manager and Team Leader, and act as the main technical contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves site surveys, FAT, installation supervision, commissioning, and sea trials, with 30-50% travel. You will lead engineering efforts per sold scope and interface with Class and customers on

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of hardware and automation system aspects.
• Committed, target oriented, methodic, able to work under pressure.
• Advanced knowledge of Office suite.

• Polish mother tongue/fluent.
• English fluent/mother tongue.
• B driving license.
• Willingness and availability to travel about 30-50% of your working time.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution and planning of refit projects in coordination with the Project Manager and Team Leader.

• Site surveys, documentation, FAT, installation supervision, commissioning and sea trials.
• Act as main technical interface between Valmet and Customers for the project duration.
• Participate in project definition and engineering meetings.
• Develop engineering according to sold scope and report deviations to support add-on sales.
• Lead internal FAT and customer FAT with third-party Class.
• Coordinate retrofit activities onboard (Dry Dock, Wet Dock, or at sea).
• Produce site activity reports and as-built documentation.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Engineer for Marine Refits segment, to join our Automation Systems Business Area in Gliwice or Wrocław, Poland. In this role, you will lead the technical execution and planning of refit projects in coordination with the Project Manager and Team Leader. You will act as the main technical point of contact, overseeing all engineering aspects and ensuring alignment with contractual requirements. The role includes site surveys, documentation, testing (FAT), installation supervision, commissioning, and sea trials.

Key Responsibilities

• Participatetosalesprocess as technical advisor supportingTeam Leader Marine Refits.
• Manage and coordinate technical aspects onassignedprojectsensuring fulfillment of technical contractual requirements, internalstandardsand Customer’s expectations.
• Monitorsengineering activities executiononassignedrefits and escalatestechnical issues in cooperation withTeam Leader Marine Refits.
• Actsas main technical interface between Valmet and Customers for the whole project duration, ensuring the proper information flow to and from all areas concernedonassignedrefits.
• Participatetoproject definitionandproject engineering meetings.
• Develop engineering according to sold scope.
• Identifyand report deviations with respect to sold scope to support add-on sales/contract deviation reporting.
• Leadinternal FATandcustomer FATwith third-party Class.
• Participatetorefit activities onboard (either in Dry Dock, Wet Dock or while ship sailing) including installation supervision,commissioningand start-up activities.
• Participate to SAT with Class and Customer.
• Participatetosea trials.
• Produce site activities reports and as-built documentation.
