Job summary

Larian Studios in Warsaw is seeking a Lead Engine Programmer to guide the engine team, drive low-level development, and ensure high-performance cross-platform game code.

You will mentor engineers, participate in recruiting, and collaborate with other leads while maintaining our proprietary engine across platforms. Strong C++ and English, plus DX12/Vulkan experience, are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable lead or management experience in engine teams.
• Extensive experience programming for games with C++ and low-level focus.
• Strong mentoring and coaching ability with excellent English skills.
• Experience with graphics APIs such as DirectX 12 and Vulkan.
• Proficiency in using CPU/GPU profiling tools and multithreading.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and coach our Engine team.

• Manage code reviews and code features documentation.

As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Lead Engine Programmer to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.

Location: Warsaw. Commitment: Full-time, On-site.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and coach our Engine team
• Assist with recruiting of Engine Programmers
• Manage code reviews and code features documentation
• Work in tandem with Larian Studios other programming Leads
• Assist in maintaining, porting and extending our proprietary engine on multiple platforms
• Debug and optimize code to hit quality and performance targets
• Show a strong passion for low level coding and a big interest in performance analysis
• Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard
• Develop well designed software within project schedule to team standards
• Show strong passion for making the highest quality state of the art games
• Safeguard company assets including source code, art work, tools, technical know-how

Requirements:

• This is a full-time, on-site role, requiring your presence in the office to support collaboration and creativity.
