Job summary

Profitroom is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to own the backbone of our cloud-driven platforms worldwide. You will guide technical direction, manage infrastructure across 400+ VMs, and collaborate with product teams to optimize releases and automation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps roles, deep Linux and cloud experience, and strong skills in Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tooling. This is a remote opportunity with a competitive package and growth focus.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of proven track record in a similar role (DevOps, SysOps, or Linux Administrator) handling complex, distributed infrastructures.
• Strong proficiency with Linux (Rocky Linux), Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and FluxCD.
• Hands-on expertise using Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI.
• Solid understanding of MariaDB, NGINX, and supporting backend apps (PHP, Node.js, Python).
• 2+ years of production experience with DigitalOcean, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Fluent Polish (C1) and good professional English (B2).
• Familiarity with Rundeck, n8n, Clickhouse, ELK stack.
• Knowledge of PCI-compliant infrastructures and advanced security standards.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure across 400+ VMs and ensure robust operations.

• Proactively monitor performance and resolve complex system issues.

Key goals and responsibilities:

• Infrastructure ownership: Develop, deploy, and maintain robust infrastructure and solutions across 400+ VMs.
• CI/CD automation: Collaborate closely with development teams to support software releases, optimize workflows, and maintain scalable pipelines.
• Proactive monitoring: Keep our environment resilient by analyzing performance and solving complex system issues.
• SDLC optimization: Leverage your deep knowledge of the development lifecycle to automate everything that can be automated.

What will help you succeed?

• Experience: At least 5 years of proven track record in a similar role (DevOps, SysOps, or Linux Administrator) handling complex, distributed infrastructures.
• Tech Stack Mastery: Strong proficiency with Linux (Rocky Linux), Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and FluxCD.
• Automation & IaC: Hands‑on expertise using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI.
• Web & DB environments: Solid understanding of MariaDB, NGINX, and supporting backend apps (PHP, Node.js, Python).
• Cloud Platforms: 2+ years of production experience working with DigitalOcean, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Languages: Fluent Polish (C1) and good professional English (B2) are required.
• Familiarity with tools like Rundeck, n8n, Clickhouse, ELK stack.
• Knowledge of PCI‑compliant infrastructures and advanced security standards.

For candidates interested in B2B cooperation, we're currently considering engagements up to 30 000 PLN net per month, depending on experience and the complexity of the projects.
