Job summary

LyondellBasell seeks a Lead Data Engineer to define, govern, and build end-to-end data architecture for APS. You will own data strategy across master data, data governance, and analytics, partnering with ERP, cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and AI initiatives.

You will translate business needs into scalable data solutions, mentor DT staff, and ensure secure, reusable data assets across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics platforms, or enterprise data management.
• 6+ years of experience creating logical and physical data models.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect supporting cloud-based BI, analytics, and data platform implementations.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on data engineer principles, methods, and tools; deep understanding of data management, integrations, storage, Master Data Management, and analytics.
• Translate APS business requirements into logical, physical, and analytical data architecture designs.
• Maximize enterprise data assets by reducing redundancy, ensuring secure access, and promoting metadata-driven understanding.
• Develop technical architecture across APS processes, ERP systems, data flows, and analytics consumption.
• Define and communicate future state data requirements supporting APS platforms, analytics, and AI initiatives.
• Strong experience in data integration, ingestion, and data conversion across ERP and non-ERP systems.
• End-to-end data architectural accountability for enterprise and APS data warehousing, analytics, and visualization solutions.
• Translate strategic APS data requirements into enterprise information architecture artifacts.
