Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and scale data models, pipelines, and platforms across the enterprise. You will enable reliable reporting, analytics, and decision-making with modern data engineering practices.

This highly visible role requires expertise in Python, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, and cloud-native data solutions, collaborating across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and sustainability groups.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/Engineering or related field; MS/PhD preferred.
• 4+ years with PhD or 6+ years with MS or 8+ years with BS in data engineering.
• Production-grade data products and pipelines using Python/SQL with CI/CD.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Snowflake, Spark and cloud platforms.
• Design scalable data pipelines and enterprise analytics architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability across assets.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and analysts to deliver solutions.
• Develop reusable Python-based pipelines and CI/CD compliant code.
