Bayer's Data & AI Team is seeking a Lead Data Architect to design and implement GxP-validated data solutions for clinical studies in our Clinical Data Lakehouse, combining clinical data flow with strong technical and conceptual skills.

You will lead data models, pipelines, governance, and collaboration with infrastructure and data science teams, ensuring compliant, scalable data landscapes and high-quality data for scientists, analysts, and AI agents.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in data architecture with leadership in data pipelines.
• Strong ownership, code quality, and documentation.
• Experience in data modelling (conceptual/logical/physical).
• Proficiency with Databricks and related tools.
• Experience with API design patterns and data integration.
• Strong engineering skills (data/software/cloud).
• Python programming (PySpark).
• Git & CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• Knowledge of FAIR/Linked Data and Data Mesh concepts.
• Data governance and security principles.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in self-organized teams.
• High attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and implementation of data solutions for clinical data in the Data Lakehouse.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an agile setup to capture and address data requirements.
• Mentor peers and uphold high standards in engineering practices and documentation.
• Define integration patterns and semantics for compliant data consumption by humans, systems, and AI agents.
• Partner with infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable, and fit-for-purpose setups via IaC.
• Engage with other Pharma data initiatives to maintain strategic data architecture alignment.
