Job summary

Baker Hughes seeks a Lead Engineer, Connection Systems, to guide engineers and designers, develop robust layouts and manufacturing-ready designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will translate customer specs into reliable engineering solutions and drive design verification and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires experience in mechanical design for oil & gas or subsea, strong tool proficiency (Teamcenter, Creo, AutoCAD, Ansys), and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant engineering experience in Oil & Gas, subsea or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of ISO, API, ASME, NORSOK, DNV standards and regulations.
• Apply sound engineering principles for risk assessment, reliability verification, and product validation.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support engineers and designers with technical guidance and design reviews.
• Create, review, and approve layouts, drawings, procedures, manuals and other documentation.
• Interpret customer specifications and translate requirements into manufacturable engineering solutions.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for Connection Systems per DPP and best practices.
• Conduct design verification activities including tolerance studies, reliability assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manufacturing, suppliers and partners to support project delivery.
• Support tendering activities, CTR processes, FAT, and customer-focused deliverables.
• Utilize Teamcenter, Creo, AutoCAD, and Ansys Workbench in compliance with standards.
