Job summary

Beffio Studio seeks a Lead Character Animator for a stylized game project. This remote, ET-friendly role combines hands-on animation with leadership, guiding a team across two studio hubs in the US and Europe.

You will drive artistic standards, craft expressive performances, and align visuals with gameplay needs. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in game character animation, a strong reel, and fluency in English, with ability to collaborate across time zones and deliver high-quality, readable

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in 3D character animation for games.
Experience as a Senior or Lead Character Animator.
Experience on commercially released game productions.
Strong understanding of animation principles (pose, timing, weight, anticipation).
Fluency in English.
Availability to work primarily during North American Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

Create stylized character animations with strong posing, timing, weight, exaggeration, and personality.
Iterate in Unity3D to refine timing, transitions, and game feel.
Lead and mentor animators; set quality benchmarks and guidelines.
Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers across US and European studios.
Maintain high artistic quality across the animation pipeline for real-time gameplay.
Ensure animations are readable and responsive during gameplay.
