Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead C++ Developer to drive performance of ML training and serving on the CoreML team. You will work with TPU/GPU hardware, ML models and advanced toolchains to enable AI research and production deployments.

The role involves optimizing kernels, building benchmarking and autotuning systems, and collaborating with JAX, PyTorch and XLA experts to address bottlenecks and deliver scalable OSS-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of industry experience
• 5 years of software development in C++ or Python
• 3 years of testing, maintenance or launching software products, and 1 year of design/architecture
• LLM experience
• Expertise in kernel-level performance optimization
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize high-performance kernels for TPU/GPU architectures for ML operations
• Architect benchmarking suites, autotuning frameworks, performance tools and docs
• Track hardware, compiler and AI model advancements for optimization opportunities
• Engage with ML researchers and framework/ compiler teams to define requirements and solutions
